Hi, I’ve just got back from travelling where I came across some jewelry that seemed reasonably priced so I bought it. First piece being a pendant with 3 individual irradiated blue diamonds, round shape, VS clean, 0.5 ct each, set in 14K gold, total weight is about 5 grams.
Second was a loose diamond, princess shape, cut is good, natural fancy yellow, VVS, 1.0ct.
Since I haven’t had the time to sit down with a appraiser, is it ok if you can give me a rough approximate of the value?
Much appreciate.

hi,
glad to help you out, but please understand that this is just a rough estimate and you will have to take this info as my personal opinion, not an appraisal.
first, finding a pendant where all 3 stones are VS quality is very good. they usually tend to be SI or worse, so well done. i estimate the retail-value on that to be about USD 3,000.-.
the 1ct princess cut FY (and i assume it is FY, not FVY) probably has a retail of about USD 8,000.-
do take these pieces to an appraiser though.
hope this helps
